I have a strange query. My cousin brought back 2 bayonets from Iraq. They are both new but are the cheapest things I have ever seen. One has an almost 18 inch blade and one has a 6" blade. They are both marked AK47 CCCP on them. The scales are some hardwood, screwed on and the "pommel" part to connect to the riflwe looks as if it was made from slabs of metal and a button.
The sheaths are cheap leather and riveted in many locations.
The cross guard of the 6" is not on very well and has some shake.
I will try and get some photos on here of these two blades.
Has anyone ever seen these types of bayos before? They almost seem too cheaply made to be real.
And why would you want an 18 inch bayo on an AK.
