Iron Sight Plinker

I decided I better get another black rifle before Hillary says I can't have any more. I already have two flat top AR's and miss shooting iron sights so I decided to go with a A2.

Here's what I got:
CMMG 14.5" midlength A2 upper
Pinned Phantom 5C1 flash hider
Stag Arms lower receiver
Denny's Super Duty M16 bolt carrier group
Heavy Buffer
Vltor Carbine Modstock
Ergo Grip
Magpul trigger guard
GG&G single point end plate
Wilderness sling
C Products LLC stainless steel 30rd magazine with Magpul Ranger Plate

I took it to the range today. I zeroed it using the Santose 50yd Improved Battlesight Zero Method. I then put 140rds of Georgia Arms 223 55gr FMJ Canned Heat ammo through it. It ran perfect and whacking the steel targets at 200yds was easy. I like the longer sight radius of the midlength.

is there another kind of sighting system?

sorry, never bought the idea that you need glass to shoot anything under 200 yards.

My next will look just like that minus the Vltor Modstock.

Very nice, my AR is almost complete and it will look very similar.

I'm planning on going with a CMMG Lightweight mid-length 14.5" upper, and it will wear a detachable carry handle for the time being.

Much better cheek weld. Try a standard M4 buttstock then try a Vltor. You'll notice the difference immediately.
