Forgive the idiocy. I'm not up on AR-15's. This is advertised as a NIB MT6400C, 16" barrel, 1-7 twist flattop.

What should I look out for?

Thank you.

That is a fair price for a new one - not spectacular; but not out of the realm of reality either.

I'd look at the internals for wear to verify that it really is NIB.

Do you know if it is a former "pre" or "post" ban rifle? That would help in determining whether it's a fair price. For a former pre ban, that's probably a good price, but it's average for a post ban.

The 6400C is the civilian (post ban) version of the M4. It has no bayo lug or flash hider and has a pinned fixed fake collapsible stock. If any of these are important to YOU I'd put the $900 towards a LE6920 which is the "legalized" LEO M4 sold previously only to Law Enforcement. Now they have all the "EVIL" features in a brand new Colt, since the ban has sunset. OR you could always buy a 6400C and add a M4, Vltor or Magpul collapsible stock, flash hider etc.... on your own if you wanted.
