Is a Sig 239 any easier to conceal than a Glock 19?

I have a G19, but have been eyeing the Sig 239 a lot lately. There does not seem to be a lot of size difference though. Is the 239 any easier to conceal? I would plan on carrying it in a OWB belt holster.

I can't speak to the G19, but I’ve concealed a SIG P239 under just a t-shirt with a good IWB holster such as the Blade-Tech UCH. OWB is probably the worst way to conceal except in the Winter.

Almost identical in dimensions

I have a 9mm P239 and a Glock 19. I wondered myself about the relative dimensions, so I have measured both guns with a ruler and a calipers and compared the results. They are almost identical in height, length and thickness of slide and grip. The Glock weighs about 22 ounces empty (polymer frame) while the Sig weighs 27.5 ounces empty (aluminum frame).

Many people think the single stack P239 has a thinner grip than the double stack Glock, but this is not true. The reason is that the Sig uses grip panels that screw on, over the aluminum frame. These grip panels add thickness in the grip area. The Glock grip has a thin polymer shell with no grip panels enclosing the wide double stack magazine, so the overall grip thickness comes out the same as the Sig.

I like both guns, but if you want to maximize ammo capacity the Glock with 15+1 capacity is better than the Sig with 8+1 capacity. Either one conceals the same.

I have a 239 and G26 to compare it to. The G26 carries a bit easier due to the weight factor. I am betting that the differences between the 239 and the G19 will be negligible... almost unnoticeable in your trousers.
