Is IMI the best 5.56 out there ?

I've been looking at the above ammo and as I understand it is the only true mil spec M193. I've heard it's very hot and burns clean. The price is on par or cheaper than lake city xm193, Winchester Q3131, and prvi M193. It's only a little higher than pmc 55 grain .223.

Also, as a side question, do you guys see ammo going much lower ? We've broken $200 per 1000 on steel case. And PMC .223 isn't much over $300. Thanks as always

Anything you buy from wideners is a good deal. IMI is known for their high quality. Some think it is better than Lake City stuff. Since the Israelis constantly depend on their stuff to fight off Palestinian aggression they probably need to have pretty good stuff.

wideners sure makes a fuss over it. of course, they probably have a million rounds of it to sell, so that's to be expected.

still, the burden of proof would be on them to show that it's "mil spec" in some way that the prvi is not. i don't recall them saying prvi m193 was not true mil spec for the past 2-3 years. they've been selling the crap out of it

hard to say how much lower ammo is going to go. i'm happy though, and getting happier every month it falls

I'm tempted to pick up a case at that price, .34 cents a round isn't bad.

It's good brass. I make some darn nice reloads with it.

The IMI brass is the best I've ever tested, and I've tested a lot.
