Is it normal to have machine marks on a billet AR upper?
I bought a bear Creek side charger upper to see if it gasses me less when suppressed than a regular upper, and I have not fully assembled it yet. But it has a ton of machine marks inside the receiver like a Ruger American rifle does, and the bolt.makes the same zipper kind of sound when I cycle it.
Is this normal for billet? For bear Creek? Do I need to be concerned? The steel carrier should wear the aluminum smooth right? I mean, the American breaks in and smooths up eventually. You can enlarge or zoom and see the ridges in the inside of the receiver.
