Is the czechpoint vz-58 & CZ vz-58 same..?

Mine is from CZ-USA, but is marked D-Technic, which are what Czechpoint sells, as well, I think.

I have a czechpoint one and there marked D-Technic I think the only difference is that CZ's say CZ-USA on them

I saw one this weekend at the local gun show. Nice guns, too bad the stock is so darn ugly.

I thought so too before I used mine - VERY comfortable. I would also love to try the Mako folding Galil style stock.

The CZ USA and Czechpoint both sell the D-Technik version which is built in Moravia for export to the U.S. Fantastic rifles.
There are lots of other VZ-58 copies out there, many started out as parts kits built on U.S.-made receivers (I think some of these are marked VZ-2008 or something to that effect). These rifles vary in quality. I would shop around for a D-Technik-marked rifle.
One quick way to tell guns with U.S.-made receivers is that they will tend to have an intact bayonet lug. On the D-Technik guns the lug had to be shaved for importation, as you can no longer import rifles into the U.S. with bayonet lugs.
