I just received my polish M44 from SOG today and noticed that there's no crest or insignia that indicates (to me, anyway) that it is indeed Polish. It has a hammer and sickle and a date, but little other than a serial number besides that. A few small stampings here and there....
Are there any tell-tale marks that I can use to verify my M44 as being Polish as oppose to Hungarian or Russian?
The metal is in excellent shape, but the wood finish had seen better days. Already having refinished the stock, it looks new, but I really would like to know what soviet country it came from.
