Does anyone make a rear sight that would attach to the integral scope bases?

What barrel do you have on it now?
You could simply swap out the existing unsighted barrel with the OE one as the easiest option. You can probably find a bunch of those at RFC.
If you have a bull barrel on it, you can get a Nodak NDS-23 for the front sight (if you have the usual 0.920" bull barrel). Then slap on one of a few receiver mounted rear sights.

Not nearly as nice as the NECG sights but Williams makes a wide selection. They are sold at www.midwayusa.com as well as other places. You should be able to get both front and rear for around $50. I do not know what it would cost to get the barrel drilled and tapped for them.
My Ruger 308 has a set on them. I purchased the rifle used so I do not know how much it cost the previous owner to get them installed. They are functional as backup sights.

I converted my semi-reliable 350 Rem Mag Ruger M77MKII into what I call a Sourdough Rifle.
1. Remington Ramp,
2. Fiber optic type front sight bead.
3. Hood with multi sky lights
4. NEGC rear sight for back up
5. 2 x 7 Leupold on quick detact Warne rings
6. Side mounted sling and bottom mounted sling so you can carry it back- pack style.
7. Recrowned the barrel
8. polished the action
9. polished the feed ramp
10. Glass bedded the crappy plastic stock
11. coated with gray hi temp engine block paint.

Float Pilot your sites look good. It makes me want a Ruger so I can do the same thing.

The NECG offers a banded front sight for rugers. It looks like the factory site. It most likely is. They can be bought from Brownells.

I don't understand why gunmakers won't offer open sights as an option. I do not like to buy a rifle if it doesn't have open sights. Thats what I like about a Marlin lever action. Just buy the gun, go to the range, wipe out the barrel load it up and start shooting. No scopes, no bases, no bore sighting or other BS.

Is swapping out the barrels on Ruger centerfire rifles something that is easy to do? This rifle is in 308. I thought you had to check headspace when you did that.

The poster that recommended swapping your barrel out thinks you have a rimfire rifle. The barrel on your centerfire has to be unscrewed from the reciever like any other rifle.

My error. When I'm on the computer, I usually have multiple windows open with a few different gun forums going at once. (As one loads up, I go to another and view that for a while and go back and forth between 2-4 forums.) Had rimfire central on another window while reading this thread and was thinking .22 lr and thought the post was about the 10/22 and replied so.
As noted above by others, OE is Original Equipment. The original parts the product came with when sold as new from the factory. This is opposed to aftermarket parts.

I think putting a sight ramp and front sight on my 350 rem Mag barrel cost me around $50 when it was all done.
