well, i'm wanting to get me an AK, and y'know TGI has their AMD-65, good rifle and all, it's just that out of all the AK clones, the AMD looks the least like an AK imo... WASRs got the akm look down pat, but read reviews and it appears that CAI is often hit or miss as to whether you get somethign decent or something out of the ****box...

I thought wasr was centurys BRAND NAME for their rifles

many companies build ak's in the USA but I believe they are from parts kits unless they make all the parts in house
at least the wasr is sort of brand new, even if old parts are used they are new

I have 2 wasr's
1 had slightly crooked front which a mallet fixed
the other had a slightly mis drilled rear leaf sight which a file fixed

other then the rougher looks they perform perfectly

well, im kind of in a slight delima here, if i order one online, it'll be cheaper, but it won't get to see it until i open the box when it arrives, at a gunstore, i can look it over and check for stuff like crooked sights and mag wobble, but it'll probably cost more... idk, im gonna see if i can fit a visit to my local gun shop im my plans for this weekend...

if you can buy wasr's in person
because most likely something will be wrong

I had to pick through 3 rifles once to get the one I had, even with the crooked front
easiest way to tell canted sights is take a laser bore sight with you
mine was a hair off but with the laser it really showed how far it was off

one hint is already drifted over front post, my draco came this way
once I set up a laser line across the whole pistol I saw that also had the front off a hair
but again the mallet and some beating fixed it permanently

im wondering if they either laser them or test fire them and as long as the front can be compensated over enough then it passes

so thats why I expect the front on all of them to be off a little it will still shoot straight
but many people like me dont like the front tilted over a little
but then even my bushmaster ar15 front is canted over too as my rear is really cranked over to one side to adjust for that
