Is There Anyone Here Who DOESN'T carry?

I got into collecting guns long before I considered carrying one. It actually was, kind-of, dropped into my lap. I bought a .32 auto from an acquaintance who needed the money (mostly so the gun wouldn't fall into the wrong hands) and after a long thought/education process I decided to get a permit and carry it around a bit. It grew on me sort of like wearing a seatbelt; after a while I felt naked without it. I soon bought a SW40VE specifically to carry and I never looked back. It's been a learning curve and I've been through several other weapons, though.

I usually carry, but one day a few weeks ago I didn't due to a crazy morning where I was running late and changed my usual morning routine. My gun was left (with trigger lock) in my night stand).

That night my situational awareness was on "full" since I was not carrying. I felt naked and even hyperfocused on tailgaters worrying that they were trouble makers. This feeling made me appreciate the saying "an armed society is a polite society". I just feel safer when I am armed.

i haven't been carrying for a few months, but that is mainly because I'm waiting on a permit.

That said, I work on a military base, and can't have a personally owned weapon here, so that means most of the time I'm out of the house, I'm unarmed.

I don't because I can't : the required "permit to carry" is next to impossible to obtain over here. I would if I could, though
