I came across a Rifle today while out looking for shotguns, heres the details:

Mint Savage Model 10 .308 has exactly 35 rounds through it, has accutrigger

Barska Swat 6-24x60 lighted recticule scope

Harris Bi-pod

Weaver mount and rings

They had it priced at $649.00

What do you think is it a good deal and how do the model 10's shoot?

Not a good deal. The scope is a Ebay, throw away special. A person would be better off using a bushnell banner than that "SWAT" scope. Ask if you can get the rifle, minus scope for say, $450.

i have two of those scopes, one is on a parker hale post ww2 ultralite 308. I shoot it alot, It has not moved zero in two years. and adjustments according to the grain weight bullets i use, are very repeatable. so let us say, the scope is worth 75, bipod is 60, rifle is 400. now add tax. ding, ding, ding!!! not sure price on rigns and mounts , though.
if you can get it for that price, plus that few rounds fired through it, not even broken in, I would say feel froggy.

As a matter of fact, this exact setup , was the main article of a rifleshooter (i think)mag, from this or last month, about a guy who was a vietnam sniper, who s best bud was Carlos Hathcock. Hathcock said, before he died, that the Savage 10 series was the best off the shelf sniper stick you could get. The title of the article was something like ,' best sniper package for under 900 bucks'. the setup you are speakin of was the exact one that the dude was shooting, and he sub moa'd a few different factory rounds with it, plus some milsurp, on his range. not sue what slings, and mounts and rings he was using , though.
