Below is a link to the news report about the 18 year old high school student who was arrested for open carrying a loaded M-1 Garand in Michigan. It was slung properly on his back yet the local police charged him with "brandishing a weapon and disorderly conduct" even though there is no law against openly carrying a rifle in Michigan.
A week or so later a group liberty activists decided to do the same, walking down the street armed in a show of defiance. This time no arrests were made. The boy went to court and won! I hope he sues the police for violating his civil rights. This is exactly the sort of tactic that Martin Luther King used to end government enforced segregation in the South.
