Seeing those pictures made me cry.

Should buy a bunch of broken guns that aren't worth $5 in scrap steel, and turn those in. Make a hefty profit. Then again, that would just make the gun grabbers call it a bigger success.

What a waste...

Answer: No, nobody does. You might have idiots inside your home who could pose a danger to your family, though.

hahahahah I saw at least 3 bb guns and one airsoft gun. Ill trade my old broken daisy for some new shoes any day.

Seriously though they must have some clueless people running that show. And that whole idea seems like a great way for criminals to get rid of throwaway guns and get away clean with murder.

Really? Is that why they had the airsoft and the bb guns in a separate box from the rest of the firearms? It seems they were able to figure out they weren't firearms and placed them accordingly.

.

I wonder how many of those guns will be linked to murderers, shootings, and other crimes if they ran the SN's.

Now here is an idea, Let's hold an "IDIOT" buy back, once all of the idiots are destroyed, we can go on with our lives with way less problems.

Danger? Nah...they provide protection for my family...but I 'spose they could pose a danger to someone I find in my house that has no reason to be there... :what:

I just hope they run the SNs to verify they aren't stolen before they melt them down. A lot of B&E vics could be real happy if they did!

Running guns through the NCIC to return stolen guns to their rightful owners is the last thing the sponsors of these events want to do. Read some of their rhetoric about guns.

This is awesome. I'm going to run down to the dollar store, grab me a handful of toy guns, then collect the $50 Walmart cards. Then I'll use that money to buy a shotgun. Why isn't everyone excited about this?

I helped with some buy backs long ago and every serial number was logged and checked, but not who they came from. Thats part of the incentive....get dangerous illegal evil guns off the street.:banghead:

Unfortunately, there were some Damascus barreled shotguns and antique rifles that made us sick to see go.

If you are a citizen of Florida or have an FFL, you could just stand across the street from that and offer to buy the guns for $75, couldn't you? I'd like to see some of those 870s and 700s that were there, as well as the "silenced Tec-9" and the derringer

Edited because i didnt read your post correctly at first.

Yes, you could offer to buy firearms from people as long as you are legal. But you may cause a fuss with those not wanting you to exercise your legal rights. :fire:

Sad some of those firearms may be stolen and need to be returned to their rightful owners. :(

But likely criminals are not turning in guns very often. They will usually just take anything they want. Likely just a lot naive people that see dollar signs or free stuff. They dont really understand.

The people at large are gun ignorant. They may know about the M16, AK-47, M1 Garand, and the Glock 17. Other than that, nothing is really certain. It has been proven that buybacks do not work. Nobody gives up their guns without another gun ready to fill the predecessor's role.

I wish they had one of those here. I have a Rossi .22 revolver that is out of time and isn't worth fixing. Would be nice to get something for it.

What is sad are stories of a widow waiting in line with her late husband's duck gun that she has no use for, to trade for a $50 gift card, when some duck hunter would pay her a lot more than $50 for it.

Let me put it to you this way, I grew up outside Orlando and went to high school with a girl who went on to become a reporter for Channel 13 News. She once asked an amputee if her leg was going to grow back. Nuff said. They hire morons.

For a $50 gift card? I wonder what the LEO's would do if someone sat across the the street with a sign offering $100 cash for "Selective" guns. FTF with-in your state of residence is legal, and I'm a gun collector. Really makes me sick since I just paid $400 at a GS today for a twin of one of the guns in the pics.
