No mall ninja jokes!

Can you do this to a glock without any damage?

 Yes its a drop leg.

Is the lanyard even made for a chain? It looks like its for the changeable grips only.

that shouldn't hurt anything. that clip should probably be replaced with one that closes all the way.

Yah spend the money on a good quality pistol lanyard. Blackhawk! makes the best lanyard with a locking swivel clip, and its only 19.99. There is nothing wrong with drop legs. I practice drills with my Belt SERPA, and dropleg holdsters. I find it very useful using a dropleg for rifle to pistol transitions. Its only about 6" of difference between belt to drop. But my carbine isnt knocking around on my pistol that way. "Mall Ninja", that title cracks me up.

I believe the full-size and compact Glocks have lanyard holes already, no need for drilling and that doesn't look like a DIY mod in the pic. The sub-compacts do not have a lanyard hole.

Also, I can't see how anything would be damaged by the use of a lanyard or a drop leg holster, so I guess I'm not understanding the question. What's there to damage? Many pistols have lanyard attachment points.

They all are like that. Even at the range they fed fine.

@thepunishers yes this is a blackhawk holster.

No holes where drilled gun came like this.

Thanks guys.

My lanyard is like a telephone wire with hooks on it just like that. See picture

I think he was talking about the small metal lanyard clip that attaches the cord to the hole in the guns grip and doesn't close all that way, not how the magazine fits in the magazine well.

It looks a small gap, but I would be worried, as owen probably was, that the clip could snag on something or even get worked off the gun. That would be bad. Not have the lanyard attached when you expect it to be.
