DeletedI was looking to buy a new Walther PPK from one of my favorite gun stores. They looked into it extensively, and for some reason their suppliers can't get ahold of any. I have not seen any new PPK pistols for sale anywhere else. Anyone know what's going on with this? Walther still advertises them as part of their product line.
Gary A, one can only report what one has experienced. Well, I guess on the internet people repeat what the have read and actually have never experienced what they are referring too.Re sirgilligan's comments. People used to say the Interarms PPK was a jammomatic. I had one. It ran fine. People now say the Interarms was great and the S&Ws are junk. I have two. Stainless and blued. They run fine. (Admittedly, the round count is not high.)
I also have a Sig P238 HD (all steel version). Flawless so far.
Can't say anything more.
S&W's license lapsed, and Walther decided to take control of the manufacturing. The new factory is not up and running yet. Walther says production will resume in 2016 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, IIRC.
