Isn’t it almost time for the Walmart rifle clearance?

Only rifle I saw of interest was a Henry H009G. Steel receiver wood stock Henry 30-30. Non-sale price was 750. Which is ridiculously low for a Henry. That on clearance sale would be even harder to pass up.

I was fortunate enough to pick up 5 Savages during the last clearance run, all different calibers and 3 I didn't reload for, some with plastic stocks and some with wood stocks and scopes, and 1 Stevens 12ga shotgun, I would love to run into another run like that BUT I feel I would be more selective on what I would buy and which calibers.
My Walmart also did a clearance run on ammo a little after the rifles and that cost me more than the rifle clearance,

I got lucky getting clued in on the clearance deals (ETA clearance deals of 2020). Two Savage Axis w/ wood stocks for $12 each after rebate, REM 700 for $10, Henry Big Boy 44 mag for $169, and a 10/22 takedown for $179. I got screwed out of another Henry Big Boy that was in my name waiting for my background check to clear but was gone when I went to pick it up after it cleared.

I look in the local Walmart for clearance deals when I stop by, but I don’t think lightning will strike twice for me on clearance guns.

Found a deal a couple yrs ago, think on "Brick Seek".
Drove a fair distance to store that had them listed.
The "main" gun person was not in that day and the associate covering knew nothing of such.
And their store manager wasn't around.
Yeah right.
Rather than push the issue, or go back, I just quit shopping Walmart altogether.

I miss the 2020 brick seek days, Scored a few rifles, had to sell one tho, the remington 700 in 223, the twist rate was not good with bulk ammo.

Hoping to score a 6.5 creedmoor this year. I got some nephews coming up where they are old enough to hunt. Better then the 30-06's I have.

I seem to remember (its getting rustier with age) that there was a website that posted firearm deals at Wal-mart because they dont add anything firearm related to the official website. Anyone have that saved?

I asked you not to do that….lol
I know, and, honestly, I wasn't bragging. All I did was read here, and drive to the store. I'm saying thank you for threads like this, and I hope this helps someone else get hooked up. I keep checking in, hoping to read about a great deal being offered now. And I want those just learning about this to take it seriously.

My big regret was missing what amounted to a 1/2 price sale on the Mini-14’s a few years ago at $400.

Please don’t respond back that you got one, I will hate you forever.
I drove an hour out of my way to a store that had one, but their electronic keypad thing was down so they couldn’t fill out the 4473. I had them put my name on it, but of course it was gone when I went back.

I noticed that happen at one store, Only one, and it seemed to only happen with super cheap clearance rifles. Come to find out, the sports manager would sell them to his wife and they all end up in the local classifies for firearms. I called him out on it when I saw him.

Check out your local Walmarts.
Mine doesn't have guns but they have a few knives on clearance. I picked up a Buck Light 110. For a few bucks off.
