News Sometime in 2009: President Hillary Clinton acting at the behest of
the US-recognized government of President Calderon, signed an Exectutive
Order today temporarily suspending the sales of semi-automatic firearms
and military ammunition in America so as not to fuel the ongoing Mexican
Civil War. Clinton stated "Americans are happy and willing to do their
part to preserve the Security and Prosperity Partnership with their North
American neighbors to the south." The NRA issued a press release stating
their opposition to the 25 year temporary ban and their intent to support
a presidential candidate against Clinton in 2012. In other news today,
job losses are anticipated in the manufacturing industry, most notably those
connected with firearms and ammunition. Economists predict this will
have little impact on employment over the longterm as these workers will
be re-trained to pick produce in the agricultural industry......

MEXICO CITY - Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, convinced he won't be awarded the presidency, has vowed to create a parallel leftist government and is urging Mexicans not to recognize the apparent victory of the ruling party's Felipe Calderon.
....
Both scenarios are possibilities as the former Mexico City mayor lays out plans to create his own government to rule from the streets, with the support of thousands who are already occupying protest camps throughout downtown Mexico City.
Some predict his parallel initiative — which Lopez Obrador's supporters call the "legitimate government" — could turn those protest camps into the core of a violent revolt, especially if the government tries to shut it down.
