I have a 1997 Savage win300 mag left hand bolt action flat back I am going to put a Burris Fullfield II 3X9X40 scope on it. I am looking for a good set of rings and bases to mount the scope on. I was intending on putting on a Tally set of rings but the single front and rear base combination are not available. Does any one have any recommendations for the rings and bases for this rifle. The win 300 puts out a good recoil and I want something that will handle the load Thx

Don't know what Talleys you were looking for, but MidwayUSA shows the lightweights, low, extended, in stock. You probably want the extended with that long action.
Another way to go would be Burris XT bases and low Warne Maxima rings.

On a long action Savage you will have a hard time making 2 piece rings and bases work unless you have a REALLY long scope. The spacing between the front and rear bases will be quite a bit farther apart than with any other rifle action.

Talley Lightweights or DNZ are all I'll use anymore. On this rifle DNZ is the only thing I'd even consider.
