Israel now arming civilians after Hamas attack

Nothing is going to change the antis in the US until a gun is stuck in their face. I was quite surprised to find that guns are so restricted in Isrial, a county that lives with death on it's door constantly, and literally from all sides. I am also surprised by how many in this country either agree with Hamas or want the Isralies to just stand back and take what has been done to them. I suppose I should not be surprised by about anything as I have been watching the world go to hell in a hand basket for years.

Fascinatingly, sticking a gun in their face doesn't seem to work, either. Here, it seems to be just another excuse for certain people/groups to make these matters into another race thing as the fault of white people. Or don't want criminals jailed. Or who make victims of violent crimes out to be criminals for defending themselves.

Like the article titled "How white supremacy lead to Ryan Carson's death".

Or how family of social justice warrior (Jen Angel) doesn't want her killers incarcerated.

Or how Jose Alba was arrested and charged in NYC for defending himself against a violent attacker who threatened his life.

The linked story about Inbar Lieberman's actions at Kibbutz Nir Am is awesome! All the better because she's a woman, as she has partial immunity from the wokies.

The take away for me is the number 12! as I've long felt that protecting one's community/family really requires a group effort... at least a fire team (better yet a squad). She could not have pulled this off by herself, as she would have been easily flanked. So many of us internet gun commandos are lone voices crying in the wilderness of our physical settings. I very much wish my brother didn't live 1,000 miles away.

Its not that black and white of an issue. Israel has a right to defend themselves but they have also acted in a deplorable manor for decades to the civilians neighboring them. They should continue to defend themselves (without US money), and they also need to be held to account for their human rights abuses. I suspect we are about to witness tens of thousands of innocent deaths in the coming months and hatred of the US will only grow because of it since we are seen as responsible for providing the weapons and money.

60-80 billion $ worth of weapons left for the barbarians in Afghanistan, and billions given to Iran. Yep, we've definitely funded the carnage.

Further, I'd bet $1000 that it'll eventually come out that we knew the attack was coming. If not, that's a pretty sad commentary on our intelligence operations -- can't pick up on their tin-can-and-string level of communications technology.

I understood the mindset of the Palestinians. I know the history of how the state of Israel was created, and I don't agree with all of it. I'm also well aware of how Israel has treated the Palestinians over the years, and again, don't like or agree with a lot if it.

That said..one thing is always true in human history.

Might makes right. What's done..is done, and after that been thrown at it..Israel is still there.

It ain't going away. The Palestinians would be much better off being peaceful, productive, patent, and negotiate a better deal for themselves..all the while never forgetting their own history.

That said..they have forfeited their right to exist.

After electing Hanas to he their government, after supporting Hanas while it killed children be cutting their heads off. Raping women, killing hostages, killing clearly innocent people..and posting it all on the internet..

Well, let's just say..I wouldn't lose a tear watching the IDF bulldoze Gaza into sea..building, Palestinians..and all.

They sowed the wind..here comes the whirlwind.

Because the "news" outlets are so reliable and truthful? Come on. You might want to come out of the hills of KY and look around a bit.
So you prefer an ad hominem attack instead of supporting your argument? Fine. Here, I left the hills long enough to buy you a present:

And just to be clear, in addition to ad hominem you also implied the separate logical fallacy of the false dichotomy. Just because the news media is often wrong that doesn’t mean the fringe media is right. It’s quite possible for both to be wrong.

If you don't believe the news outlets are reliable and truthful you are a conspiracy theorist.
Worked for a quasi-independent federal agency for over thirty-five years, thirty of those years in management. Most of my work involved forcing operations managers to fix service issues affecting the citizens we provided services for. Saw a lot of ordinary employees, supervisors, facility managers and executive level managers lie, cheat and completely disregard their oath of office to suit their own purposes. My work also included interacting and working with the mainstream media, particularly newspapers and television stations. The media would omit or change any information that did not support their story line.

I am inclined to be skeptical of anything said to me by a local, state or federal employee, elected politician or mainstream media employee. But that’s just me; don’t let my real-life affected cynicism influence how you believe.

“Their media lies but our media is truthful” is a dangerous form of self-delusion practiced by the extremes on both ends. If you don’t trust MSNBC but you do trust OANN (or vice-versa) then you’re not interested in news. You’re just looking for an echo chamber.

we are all certainly entitled to our opinions - and border security is definitely a concern, but I do not equate our immigration issues in the US to that of a military invasion. - just one guy's opinion.

If we shipped 10 million American to Russia, China, North Korea or any of our other hostile countries, you would bet they would consider that an invasion. What is coming across our borders is no doubt, an invasion. Gaza is surrounded by a high wall to keep Hamas out of Israel proper. Something like 80 holes were blown into this wall and the terrorists poured out, attacking all in their way. The reality of this happening in the US is ridiculously high.
