I own an Uzi Eagle 9mm, which says Made in Israel but I believe has at least some Tanfoglio manufactured components. It bears the IMI badge on the grips, and was imported for a short time thru Mossberg.
Mine came with two 10-rd magazines but I have since purchased two 16-rd OEM factory mags. It also came with tru-Glo night sights.
It is a wonderful DA/SA pistol. I have not found any cartridge loading that it does not feed with 100% reliability. It shoots every load with similar accuracy, which I find remarkable. As has been stated before on this and other forums, these pistols have some of the very best ergonomics as far as a comfortable grip "feel" and geometry. Although a bit wide and requiring a slightly long trigger reach, it is one of the most comfortable pistols I have ever shot. Other shooters who hold mine for the first time marvel at how natural it feels in their hand, like it was molded to their hand.
Since it is all-steel, the recoil is very light and rapid follow-up shots are the norm. The bore line is very low, placing it closer to the hand and that greatly reduces muzzle flip.
I would rate the trigger as a bit spongy, kinda soft feeling but easily adapted to. It isn't match-grade crisp in SA but it is smooth and fairly light and does not pull the aim off. I've shot a bunch of SIGs with triggers that are very similar.
The barrel is chrome lined and is a true polyagonal rifling, which has been claimed to improve velocities. And it's a dream to clean even after shooting hundreds of rounds. I never tried hard-cast lead but jacketed bullets leave practically zero copper fouling.
Mine wears a dull black finish which has been impervious to rust or corrosion. It isn't Tenifer or Melonite, but it is quite durable and fingerprints are never a worry.
I have vowed never to sell or trade it, because I cannot imagine finding another more reliable and accurate handgun for anywhere near the price I paid ($465).
If there are negatives I have found, it is the availability of good leather or Kydex holsters. However, Fist-inc.com has several in both materials and they are very high quality. Also, there may be some factory support issues if a problem should ever arise, which so far has not been an issue. Some berate the slide-mounted decocker, but I consider that a non issue. I have other cocked-and-locked pistols and this is just different, not any better or worse.
