Here I am setting at the computer while 5 minutes earler I was waiting for someone to bust down the door. So I am setting at the computer I am alone in the house expect for the doberman he gose to howling when somthing makes a sound I play it off as nothing then he comes in the coputer room and whines and thats when it happens. BOOM BOOM BOOM on my door like they were trying to break it in. So I pick up my carry gun and go to the door. I first think it is just a kid playing a trick so I bang on it myself to let them know I am home. That stops them for about 30 seconds then BOOM BOOM BOOM. 4 Letter word moment! And still BOOM BOOM BOOM this time they are kicking. Its enough I yell WHO IS IT still BOOM BOOM BOOM this time I yell I AM ARMED. And it stopped I cut the lights and looked out the window a big black figure is running across my yard. I fiqure the reason they did it was because my back light was on and no cars in the drive because the wife went to pick up the kids. But they got the suprise of there lifes when they learned that I was armed But right now I thank god that I had my carry gun with me because I might just be dead if I had not of had. Handloader

his activity. The next house might not be able to defend.

You never know the intentions of someone doing that at your front door. I have one friend that had the same experience and it turned out to be a lost drunk. Then on the other side of the coin, I had a co-worker mudered in his house in the middle of the day by drugged up intruders looking for something to steal.

Sorry for not over reacting I have better things to worry about like lets see my wife my kids I would have called the police but I was busy waiting for them to get home. And another thing its family first!

Why bother calling the police if the perb is gone nothing they can do about it but file a report and look for a person who I have no ideal what they looked like.As long as they don't bust down the door they are no danger to me or my family once they are inside then they are a danger thats when shoot first and call police second takes over.

The responsible thing to do would be to report the event to the police.

because it lets them know whats going on in that area and they possibly will step up patrols... They tend to patrol areas more that have had recent incidents, if they dont know about the incidents they have no reason to be active in that area.
I would also let my neighbors know just so they could be more vigilant.
