It never fails finding a rifle deal after you already bought one…

I usually find the good rifle deals right after I buy up a large batch of ammo & I'm out of money. Back when I started this gun hobby I made a promise to myself to never borrow to buy guns or put them on plastic, my guns always have to be saved for or from the cash in my pocket.
Same here for the most part. I always go cash first but I do have 1 CC that’s on standby just in case. If it’s used, it’s paid off before used again.

I was holding out for someone, anyone, to get 18” SPR barrels back in stock. Then I had an urge to build an M4 copy. The day my parts arrived was the day the SPR barrels started showing back up.

I pulled the trigger (no pun intended) on a left hand Savage 116 in .300 WSM on gunbroker a couple of weeks ago, received the rifle and started building loads for it. Paid $570 ish after shipping and am happy with the purchase. While visiting Pigeon Forge TN this week I ran I to Bass Pro to see if they had any primers (which was a wasted stop) and looked over the used guns and low and behold, there sat a Tikka left hand stainless bolt in .300 Winchester Magnum for $750. First left handed bolt I’ve seen on the shelves in years.

Needless to say, had I not purchased the Savage, I would have definitely picked up the Tikka….
Don't feel bad about the purchase!
A number of years ago I bought a lefthanded Tikka in 300wsm. I couldn't find anything that would group 1 1/2 or less. So I traded it off on a Savage 116 300wsm. The Savage shot great!!! Less than 1" @100....

Oh I’m not feeling bad about it at all. Just surprised the price of the Tikka since most of them are well over $900.
