But along the same lines, use of the phrase "tongue-in-cheek" was simply uncalled for.

I think I finally got it.

It occurs to me that the simple notion of supply and demand may be at work here. Ya think!!
Been happening since the beginning of time!!
When people feel danger (real or perceived) they start hoarding thereby increasing demand and prices.At the same time the survival instinct kicks in and any sense of community, charity, and aid to those less fortunate goes away.
So, I'm not spending any money on guns, ammo, or components because I'm not paranoid to the point like so many here.
For now I plan to focus on the basics ie: food, housing, and helping others!
