Italian Firearms Group?

So I found out there is supposedly a new firearms importer coming here that will import Tanfoglio pistols... http://www.tactical-life.com/online...-import-and-distribute-products-to-us-market/ What (if anything) will this do to EAA? Does anyone have any info as to this new group? Thanks, guys!

after reading your link, it looks like they might be focusing on reproductions of antique guns. Does anyone know if tanfoglio makes old SAA revolvers?

Looks like they have a lot of nice models that we don't get here in the US, but I don't see any SAA or antique style guns. I hope it effectively ends EAA as a company. Their CS is the worst on the market, and if you've called them before, they come across as VERY arrogant. I wish we could get the "New Stock III" that they have listed in the catalog. That looks like a fine piece of workmanship.

I honestly have no complaints with EAA. Never needed warranty service, but they've always been polite and helpful when I've called to order accessories.

Well personally I'm a rail guy, but I can understand if you don't like them. I know Uberti does make SAA revolvers, I was responding the the question posed in post #2. How does your Limited shoot? I've heard a lot of good things about them.

Sounds like the Italian manufacturers are banding together as a marketing group to sell each maker's complete product line through a single, unified point of sale:
The I.F.G. product range will include: hunting shotguns (OU, Sxs), combination rifle/shotguns, express rifles, SxS rifles, bolt action rifles, single shot rifles, semiautomatic pistols (center fire, rim fire standard, competition, hunting) air guns, muzzle loading guns and accessories (traditional and modern) historical re-enactment guns, single shot rifles and lever action rifles.

All I.F.G. products represent the finest level of quality for each of the respected manufacturers. Distribution will be through typical distribution channels as well as direct distribution when and where available, depending on product and legal requirements and existing distribution agreements.

They are connected with EAA. They will be handling the higher end Tanfoglios. Distributors are cataloging them already, so they should be available soon.

Couple of things I though were interesting... They have 2 1911's, at least one is a series 70 and not available for the U.S. market. The another pistol (not 1911), has a very familiar placement of the safety lever- on the slide.

I downloaded the IFG catalog. Under contact info it has EAA's mailing address and phone number.

GC has it, a consortium of Italian gunmakers.
EAA is apparently the the importer for the group.
When I worked with a Pedersoli Kodiak earlier this year EAA handled the shipping.
