Just picked up an Ithaca/SKB 20 guage. Anyone have good or bad info about this model gun? Have not shot it yet.

Are there barrels floating around out there for this. Has an improved with it. Might get a modified for it if I like it.

I've got one and love it. It has never malfunctioned on me, and shoots and carries very well.

SKB was making for Ithaca and Weatherby before they went on their own. I have a SKB 505 field O/U and it is fabulously sturdy yet light and accurate. I would jump on anything with SKB on it.

I have the Ithaca SKB 500 in 20, very similar to the 505, and I'll second bearmgc.

I love it as a bird gun! Love it.

My hunting buddy's father-in-law has one of their SxS guns, BTW. I'm not sure which model, exactly, but AFAIK they're all the same action, with some little differences like engraving, stock, triggerguard tang, etc. He loves it, too.

I have a 12 gauge SKB 300. I would love to have a 20 gauge. I never had a problem with any of my SKB semiautos. I have had several over the years. Just can't keep them. My friends want them worse than me and paid my price. I would buy a 20 gauge if I could find one.

You have a good reliable gun.
