Great Find! I think you've a real keeper there! :D wanna sell it?

I've always liked SxS guns and own a couple of Winchesters (21 and a couple of 24's). I think Ithica guns are better balanced on whole and easier pointers.

Like many good guns, they have pretty much quit being "economy" models since being discontinued. They are popular in CAS with tenderfeet who don't want to learn to shoot a double trigger gun.

For the price I paid, this is definitely an "economy" model.

The Cabelas gun library has quite a few similar models in the $2000 range, and you can get a real nice one for $5000-- but that's in the luxury price range, not a middle-class working gun.

Yup, got one same; love it. Close to what the Fox 20 ga. SxS were for a great utiluty shotgun for rabbits and small game. Some on gunbroker_com asking in the $1200. to $1500. prices.

I hunted with one just like that for years. I shot better with it than any other shotgun I have owned. Keep an eye on the stock, some had a tendency to crack where the wood meets the metal on the action. I had a 100, a 200, and a 900 SKB semi auto, and they all cracked. These were mid 1960s vintage guns. Later ones may not have had these problems. I repaired all three with epoxy and brass pins, and shot them for several years after that. They were all great shooters, and I still miss them.
