It's all your fault. I've bought two revolvers now. (pics)

Well, a little over a month ago I lamented on here that I didn't really have a carry-revolver in my nice handgun collection. I asked you all what I should get. Problem is, I heard a lot about the S&W J-frames and a lot of recommendations for the Ruger SP101.

Thanks to you guys, I got one of each. Will you permit me to share the pics?

Sweetness!!!

Man, I've never bought two guns at once. Normally when I see someone buy more than one gun at a time it's one real nice gun along with a Taurus :barf: , or something like that - and you go and get two EXTREMELY nice guns at once!

Now I'm jealous... ;)

P.S. - love the grip on the Smith too.

Nah, we got better things to do with our time than to sit around looking at pictures of new guns....

Besides that, you should be chastized for buying too many guns and thus contributing and supporting the gun industry.

On top of that, you make me jealous as heck!!!!

Seriously, Nice guns and nice pics.

Good shooting!!

Thanks for the nice words. I admit, I do feel guilty having bought the Ruger so quickly but:

(1) I quit smoking and rewarded myself with the Ruger. I decided the gun would be payed for in three months of not smoking,
(2) I just had a birthday and have some b'day cash,
(3) I just graduated from grad school and have a little grad gift $$$ coming too.
Can you see how hard I tried to justify spending that much money?

So, Fencer, that's the same holster as with the 442. A Desantis Nemesis pocket holster. The gun's too heavy for that so today my Fist IWB kydex holster arrived.

Nortonics, the price has been really low on the Smiths lately. I think they had a really big run on the 442s or something. That helped.

And I like those S&W grips too - they're what actually sold me on that Smith in the first place. Unfortunately those grips broke after I took this picture and I had to have S&W send me replacements. They're not identical, but are similar - they're boot grips.

thanks for the comments

I don't care what anybody says, the JFrame sized revolver whether made by Colt, Smith, Ruger, Taurus etc. is the best damn CCW firearm ever created. We have seen so many itty bitty semi autos and attempts to answer a question that I feel was answered more then adequately many, many years ago.

Two great choices you got there. We have one of each and love them. Shoot the hell out of that Ruger and you will be rewarded with a spectacular trigger. Don't let the naysayers tell you the Ruger has to have a crappy trigger. All it takes is a bit of use.
