Bonus time coming up in a few weeks. 90% of it is earmarked for the ole retirement savings account (don't wanna eat cat food when I'm old) but there'll be a thousand or two left over to buy new toys. Emphasis on TOYS! I'm looking for something different from the same ole same ole.

Sooooo...

YES! This is another one of those what should I buy next threads. :D

Just to give ya a starting point - here's what I've already got.

3 - .45ACP pistols
2 - 45 Colt revolvers
1 - 44 Mag revolver
1 - 40 S&W pistol
1 - 357 Mag revolver
1 - 9mm pistol
1 - tacticool 12 guage Shotgun
1 - SxS 12 gauge Shotgun
1 - .17HMR bolt action rifle
1 - .22LR bolt action rifle
1 - .308 bolt action rifle
1 - .45 LC Lever Gun
1 - AR-15
1 - M1 Garand
1 - 7.62X39 Saiga Rifle
2 - 22LR Pistols
Various Red Dots, scopes and holosights

Here's what I've considered:

Desert Eagle XIX 44 Mag with 6" barrel - real high neat factor but everytime I go to the gunshop to buy it I balk - go figure
Springfield 1861 Rifle - won't fit in my freaking gunsafe :( - really high neat factor - cost of bullets is high
Sig P226 Elite in .40 S&W - new carry gun - Sig reliability - but heck - do I really need a new carry gun?

If I don't spend the money then my wife will get it and she'll waste it on something silly like furniture or curtains or clothes or shoes - no way!

So I'm stuck. Don't have a clue what to get and need help in figuring it out.

Think outside the box. Let your imaginations run wild.

What should I buy.

Well, I don't see a FAL on your list :)

I'm personally waiting for the Bushy ACR / Masada. I've kinda lost interest in the Kel Tec .308. I wish that I could pick up an ACR right now, but isn't waiting for something the majority of the fun? ;)

Re...ReLAX?!?:uhoh:

Don't you know? He should buy every EBR that he can, before hil-dog bans everything from blackpowder to bb guns!

He should buy a dozen AR lowers, a barrel of Romanian kalashniklones, and mags mags MAGS out the wazoo! Time's running out, people!!!

(oh, and a few shoulder things that go up, just for good measure.)

:neener:

Lots of ammo, and come on out to the Whittington Center gettogether Memorial day. Shoot it all up, eat green chilis and visit.

Personally, I say ammo and/or reloading equipment (if you don't have some already). That's a lot of guns to shoot, and I'm sure your ammo budget is high. Granted, that's pretty vanilla...

Why not try and pick up one of the esoteric 'new' black plastic carbines/SMGs - ie, get a SBR, Class 3, or AOW o some sort.

Personally, I'd be tickled pink if I could get a glock w/ a stock and a foregrip (don't know if that's even possible w/o a registered FA receiver or w/o a Class 3 license).

How about a swede

My favorite caliber by far. Accurate, deadly on game and easy to shoot well.

How about a vacation or camping/shooting trip to enjoy what you have.
If only...

Darned good idea. Alas getting away from work for more than a few days at a time is nigh unto impossible.

Got the reloading equipment and use it regularly. Don't cast my own bullets though since I don't shoot a lot of lead.

You mean like the Bushmaster Carbon 15 AR style pistol? That is not something I'd thought about but definitely will consider. As for full auto - I could pick up a Mac-10 for about $3.5K and would if there was any place to shoot it around where I live. The gun club I'm a member of doesn't allow it and neither do any of the public ranges in the OKC area that I'm aware of.

Another good idea I hadn't considered.

Thanks GUYS! Keep 'em comin'. :D

Get a good AK and a bunch of ammo/mags for $1000. Everyone needs a good SHTF AK. ;)

Whoops! I just saw that you already have a Saiga in 7.62. How about an AK in 5.45? Ammo's still cheap (cheaper than 7.62) and I find mine to be very accurate and fun to shoot.

I don't see many of these around. Maybe I'm just not looking enough. Are they readily available? Cost?

Good grief, that's some bonus. What the heck am I doing wrong.:uhoh:

BTW you already have a Saiga, no need for an SKS. Might want to consider getting it converted if you haven't done so yet.

You don't have a P7 yet, do you?

I would still suggest a nice AK, in spite of the Saiga. Pick your flavor.

It really just depends on what kind of shooting you are into I suppose.

I know I'm spending my tax return on a couple of ARs, and am still going to "need" one more after that... I guess you taking that into consideration simply depends upon how "infected" you are... :) You could check out your options on just buying an AR upper too... .204 Ruger 24" upper for varmints? Uses the same mags... SBR upper after registering your current AR?

How about a "project" gun? Like, a Stoeger 20" SxS 12-gauge that you make into a pistol with the proper paperwork? :D

M1A1 would be cool too.

However, I do have a P226 in .40 that I can't say anything bad about, save for that its pretty heavy for carry. Just depends on you though.

Of course, you seem to be missing one of these:

Either way, I'll go against the grain and say "Spend it on a gun!" :)

Saiga 12?

The Deagle would be pretty fun, especially since you have most of everything else. Or another similar large caliber handgun. Maybe a S&W 500 or something?

How about something in .50 BMG?

Dope

I would recommend a P225 for the Sig (too good of a small pistol to pass up - for low cost) and why don't you show any Mosin love?
