It's that TIME of Year...

The Bushmaster Carbon 15, Model 21 is an awesome pistol, but it does pack a bit of recoil. Just be careful of the face the first time you fire it. If you do get one, a 90-round magazine and a reddot sight are must-have toys for it. :D

How about something in .50 BMG?
Very high NEAT factor and something like the Barret M82(??) is on my list of maybes but not this year. OTOH what could I get in .50 BMG for $1500 to $2K?.

Of course, you seem to be missing one of these:

Now that's an interesting idea and I know just where I can get one in OKC - if it's still there.

If you don't mind the paperwork, and your state is friendly, I'd get a .22 suppressor and have your barrels threaded.
I've considered this in the past. Just can't get by the paying the goobermint $200 each for a couple of what should be $20 cans. I know they cost a lot more than that but that's because of the low government iinduced demand. The feds get way too much of my money now. I ain't givin' the suckers any more than I have too. Nice idea though.
GSG-5, or way different FN PS-90
???? I'm not ashamed to admit I haven't heard of either of those. What are they?
If you like old timers how about an 1874 Shiloh Sharps in say 45/90?
On the list... :D
lets see glock 20 (10mm)
s&w 500 mag
10mm - thought about that one for years. Nice cartridge and a Delta Elite in 10mm would be nice but for now my .40 will do fine. The S&W 500 is on the list.

I don't see a semi-rock and roll 22LR. Why not get a GSG-5 like the one I am getting next month, hopefully. Like an MP-5 in .22LR. I wanted to build a Ruger 10-22, but this fits the bill nicely. Between $400-500. I can't wait.

How 'bout something black powder? maybe a black powder cartridge rifle, or a flintlock, or percussion revolver a'la 1851 revolver or such.....
They are all TONS of fun, and it looks like it would be something new and different from what you have.

On the list now. And true and true... :D

You mean like the Bushmaster Carbon 15 AR style pistol? That is not something I'd thought about but definitely will consider. As for full auto - I could pick up a Mac-10 for about $3.5K and would if there was any place to shoot it around where I live. The gun club I'm a member of doesn't allow it and neither do any of the public ranges in the OKC area that I'm aware of

H&H Does allow it, all you need is your paperwork to prove that it's legal and all.

you have 2 .45 colt revolvers, ya gotta get them a .45 lever rifle! isnt there some kinda law about that?

I'll assume you have $2K to spend.

You have a fine collection but it seems to be light in a few areas.

You don't have a single .22 semi rifle? They are cheap to own, cheap to feed, and a lot of fun. Let's say $300 for a nice 10/22 semi rifle. That leaves $1700. You only have one AR. Get a CMMG or a Stag. Out the door for about $1000. That leaves $700. Get one SKS and 2 Mosins, a 91/30 and an M44. $250 for the SKS and $100 each for the Mosins. That leaves $250 for ammo for your new caliber. You can get 1000 rounds of 7.62X54R shipped for $180. That leaves $70. Three Magpul PMAGs and an Infidel T-shirt to wear to the range should take care of it.

+1, best advise so far

Second the folks who suggested a semi .22 lr, a semi .308WIN, and Mosin Nagant. Otherwise, you current collection seems well rounded. Unless you go crazy on the semi .308, should be doable for all three + a little ammo with $2K.

My vote is for an AR upper in something different...like.....this, for instance.
Now THAT is thinking outside the box.

So many excellent suggestions - it is gonna be hard to decide.

+ on ammo.. You seem to have your bases covered as far as "conventional" guns go.. I really would go the ammo route if I were you, or a very very nice reloading setup and a few #'s of powder, several K's of primers, shells.. you'll be set for a long while.

+1 on the Mosins. There's even a place in Del City with a good selection - except - to be honest - I wouldn't know how to tell whether I was getting a good one or a POS. I could check the bore but as for the rest.

Best place to get it???

What is this Infidel T-Shirt you speak of?

Werewolf;

I see several "holes" in your present collection. Here's some thoughts to consider:

A good 20 gauge upland bird gun, English stock 26" barrels.

Possibly a Freedom Arms single-action in a major pistol caliber such as what's becoming "the standard", .454 Casull. Which in the F/A ONLY, can be loaded to it's full potential. Or, for future collectibility, the .475 Linebaugh. That way the .44 mag becomes the weak-kneed bed wetter of the collection.

Or, as has been mentioned, the .22 semi-auto.

Then there's the timeless standard 6.5 Swede. Put it on a CZ550 with a Zeiss Conquest 3-9X & have a Euro that you will fall in love with.

try a nice over under shotgun of sorts. Shooting some clays. It's a fluid and dynamic sport in contrast to the concentrated precision of rifle.

I'm pretty good with a rifle and even better with a pistol - heck I can even knock the plates off of a Texas star (5 plates mounted on a rotating wheel) more often than not.

But put a shotgun in my hands and tell me to shoot that clay pigeon flying by and you'd be totally safe taking the place of that pigeon. I'm 56 - been shooting since I was 16. Can't hit a clay pigeon for the life of me - much to the wonderment of my father and uncle. My father was an avid bird hunter and rarely missed. My uncle didn't even use a shotgun most of the time but instead used a 22 to dove hunt (really - not kidding - shot those suckers on the wing. He claimed he learned the skill as a fighter pilot in the Pacific during WWII). He said it was the only way the birds had a sporting chance - which they didn't if he was hunting them. Too bad the ability to shoot birds and/or clay pigeons on the wing isn't genetic - if it were I might have a chance of hitting something - which I most assuredly do not. So there probably won't be a bird gun in my future.

Nice idea though... :D

Lots of excellent suggestions and I really really appreciate them. Thanks to you all.

That said: I think I've got my choices narrowed down to:

Or this: Desert Eagle .44 Mag

Or this: Armi Sport 1861 Springfield
