You do learn something new every day!
I was cleaning some of my guns yesterday. My two stainless revolvers (Redhawk & SP101) have rather filthy cylinder faces. Normally I sit there and scrub away with a brass brush and good ol' Hoppes.
This time I thought.... What if I used a drop of that Bore Cleaner?
Wow. Probably a quarter of the needed scrubbing, and the cylinder faces look practically brand new! And my elbow is still full of Grease!
I wouldn't recommend it on a blued cylinder of course. And I only used ONE drop, any more and you'd probably start scratching the surface...
