Iwb holster for cowboy boots and holster materials

Anyone had any success using a iwb clip holster to carry in cowboy boots? *I would like some suggestions, hopefully leather but any ideas would be great. I guess a really thin holster would be best to give my calf more room

I would also like to use this as a true iwb holster also.
Thoughts and suggestions would be great

Also what materials are best and worst for preventing rust. *I have seen some suede holsters that I am interested in, but wasn't sure about the rust factor

How stiff is the boot top? I suspect that if it is soft and without any rigidity to it, the holster/gun is going to rub or slap against your leg. And all-suede holsters are notorious for porosity and holding in moisture.

You might want to just use a pocket holster that has some grippy rubber on the outside.
