Thin suede IWB holster? Where are they?

I've been carrying a PM9 for the last 8 years in a thin, suede IWB holster made by "Gun Leather". This is the best holster I've ever used. It adds almost no bulk whatsoever to the gun, has a thin profile, strong metal clip, stays in place, and conceals like no other.

But, apparently, Gun Leather went out of business and no one seems to be making anything like it anymore. Is there anyone who makes a holster like this?



I would love one for my Springfield XDs. Nothing else I've tried yet can conceal it to my satisfaction, because they're all just too thick and bulky, or the clips are gigantic, or made of cheap plastic. I'm using the one pictured right now, but the fit isn't great. It really conceals well though...



Anyone know where something like this can be had?

I often buy one of the larger styles, and then cut it down to fit whatever I want and sew up the edge again. New guns, not to mention older ones, for which nothing is available are no problem to me at all.

High Noon's holsters, particularly the "stocking items," are made with a very thin leather.

I prefer their Split Decision. It's tuckable, thin, and all-day comfey for my CW9. I had one for my SR9c; both are now in my brother-in-law's possession.

I could make you a custom hoster for $40. Or you could look around online or at shops near you. I see that type of holster all the time. They usually have a retention strap that you could just cut off. They range from $25-$45 depending on the brand. I think Uncle Mikes make one.

The Vega company from Italy - http://www.vegaholster.com/ - makes such holsters. Cheap and well made.

I see these all the time in the holster section of many gun stores. I prefer a stiffer one myself that doesn't close up when you draw the gun. Makes for easier re-holstering.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, I've seen the usual selection of Galco, Bianchi, Uncle Mike's, High Noon, etc. The problem is they either ride too high, have big bulky, plastic clips, or are just too thick (nothing I've seen comes close to the thinness of the suede material in the Gun Leather holsters, or they have bulky reinforcement at the mouth). Personally, I'll take concealment over the ability to re-holster.

I also don't see the same kind of small, strong, metal clip on most holsters. I like a thin, strong, metal clip that goes over the belt. (The Bianchi 6D seems to be the closest match. None of my local shops have this particular model, but that might be next to try).

Notice how big and bulky the plastic clip is on this Galco holster. It fits the gun really well, and is pretty thin, but the clip ruins it.

Have you looked at the Alessi Talon? I've used their Deep Cover holster ( I've got another on order now ) for my J frame, the clip is plastic, goes behind, not over the belt, and stays put. The leather is thin, and just enough of it to wrap around the gun, not a 1/4 of a cow's worth.......a little bit of a wait to get one made, but worth it.

I wore one of those for a short bit , until I had to run while wearing it , and the 1911 came out ( was helping a friend push his car off a busy road ) , next day I ordered an Alessi Talon + , love that holster. Fast forward 20 years and I still have that holster, still works as it did the day I got it.

I use the aker model 135 and 134...Nice thing about these holster besides being made here in U.S.A. Chula Vista, there is a piece of polymer in the mouth of the holster to keep it open if you have to re holster.
