IWB holster for S&W Shield

My Crossbreed Minituck just arrived yesterday. I bought my first Crossbreed Supertuck holster three years ago and it has been my go-to design ever since.

I also have a Theis IWB which is similar to the Crossbreed design. It is in right hand (I'm a lefty), but I got it for a great deal since it was "blemished". The Theis holster is for my wife/daughter since they are righties.

I went the other way with a superlight kydex. Fastest on and off holster in my drawer. I never have been a fan of two belt clips on a small carry gun. Under $50 delivered.

Another vote for PJ Holster. I have one for my LC9 that's on my belt right now. I can imagine a thinner, lighter, more comfortable holster.

Nice guy to do business with too.

Ordered a White Hat today. Will let THR know how it works out. Have a Raven Concealment OWB that I like now but it requires a button up over shirt. This White Hat being IWB should be fine under just a T.

Like those PJ holsters though!

Got the loops. Haven't tried them yet. Good idea though. Know what im doing this weekend! Nice to have different options.

Good thing about the White Hat is you can order another Kydex to go with another gun.

This jerk shooting up the movie theater makes me consider having more ammo, so with the White Hat I can carry the 7/8 shot shield or a 17/18 shot full size with the same basic holster.

Thanks for the suggestions and I do like that PJ holster for a minimialist option.

THR is awesome!

If you are interested in a quality leather holster, I really like the Alessi Talon. It's a clip-on IWB with a strong Kydex clip. (There's a lifetime guarantee on the clip and the overall worksmanship as well).

I now carry a Sig 239 in a Talon and that combo works great. I used to carry a S&W Model 65 with a 3" in a Talon and was happy with that as well. (The Sig actually works better, as it is a bit thinner).

I wrote a review of the Talon back when I was using it with the S&W. Here's a link for more info if you are interested.

I have been carrying my Shield in and OWB slide holster under justa t-shirt here in HOT HOT HOT Carolina. It is so slim that with a 15 cant, it disappears against my side. You can cover it with anything. I do have a Raven Concealment Phantom modular on order. It is OWB/IWB if you buy the clips.

Another option if you don’t want to wait would be a Kaluban Cloak, think Raven Concealment, without the wait, excellent quality and less expensive. I’ve got two of them for my Walther PPQs, one with Surefire X400 and one without. Just like the Ravens, they are very modular and convert from OWB to IWB simply by changing hardware. I ordered my second one last Sunday, 15Jul, change the color on Monday, and it arrived yesterday.

Here’s a pretty good comparison of the RC VS KC:

Does anyone know if M&Pc or Glock 26 holsters will work with the Shield? I have read the Glock will, not sure about the M&Pc. I'm trying to find something locally, to cut down on the wait.

I have tried several Glock 26 holsters for my Shield, and none have worked. For one, the indexing points are going to be way off as the shape of the guns is totally dirrerent, and secondly, the width. You many find a general from nylong of even a cheap leather that work, but I wouldn't trust them personally.

Makes sense, thanks.

I have the White Hat Max Tuck for my XDs. Very comfy setup and the XDs is about the same size as a Shield.
