The Mika.
I pocket carry both a small revo and a small auto depending. And I have different Mikas for different guns and for differently shaped pockets.
Sure, I have had an Uncle M.....junk. And the Desantis Nemisis...gave two of them away. And I have had a kydex one or two. As well as some rather expensive leather ones.....all sold...like a Milt Sparks for one. I've owned lots of pocket holsters.
What holster makers don't seem to get is that pocket holsters need to be kept simple....really simple. And they need to stop adding "boning", "retention", "rigid reholsterability" and other features that are desireable for belt holsters but that work against the pocket concept. Pocket holsters have a different job to do than belt holsters. Many of the old time makers had it right. Most of the new guys, I think, do not.
Mika does. It does what a pocket holster needs to do. It protects the trigger. It keeps the gun oriented correctly in the pocket. It smoothes the outline of the gun and minimizes printing within the usual range of standing, sitting, etc. And it facilitates a very quick draw. It doesn't move at all or come out, or threaten to come out during the draw. It's loose. It doesn't depend on hooks or gimmicks to stay where it belongs. It is soft and conforms. Think about it....what does a PH really need to do. And not do?
If I really thought there was a better PH, I would buy it.
