Last night on 24:
Jack is trying to extract information from an "international secret info broker" named Collette Stenger. He accuses her of withholding information about his mentor-turned-thug Chris Henderson. The Federal Marshal guarding Collette says that Jack can’t question her until the order to rescind her immunity is received. Jack knocks the Marshal out, grabs his pistol (a Glock) and points it at Collette. She refuses to talk, so to show her he really means business, Jack racks the slide (of course, no round is ejected--a common Hollywood goof). Then, he puts the muzzle just centimeters from her head and menacingly says, "I'm going to count to 3." At that point, we see that the act of racking the slide has apparently caused a stovepipe, because the slide is partially out of battery with approximately 1" of the barrel exposed. Fox meant for it to be a tense scene, but my son and I just busted out laughing. It was funny and a little frustrating. I guess these gun goofs are just going to be typical Hollywood fare.
