So I just came across this website http://www.rimfireuniverse.com/ . Apparently they are making Jacketed .22 rounds. I had never heard of this before. Couldn't find any data on the website about performance. But has anyone seen these or tried them out in person? They look interesting.

I can't help but think that someone is trying to make make money by raising prices on the last affordable caliber. But maybe that's just my conspiracy theory nature

These aren't the first jacketed bullets loaded in a rimfire case.

All that website needs is the cheesy photo from EXTREME SHOCK!!! ammo.

The Infantry one did kinda remind me of a Extreme Shock one come to think about it, maybe they can re market it as a terrorist killer. I was thinking they might have some merit with some small game. But then again the current rounds do pretty well with that as is.

I think that website is a rip off. No names and from south africa. They have money in a bank that they will give you if you send the 1,000 bucks.

I'm confused. Aren't a lot of 22lr bullets jacketed? For example: Remington's Golden Bullet? It has what appears to be a brass jacket.
