It appears that I'm in some kind of reloading component desert. Anyone know where to get the goods in the Jacksonville area????

Close to you in Jax is Sportsman Warehouse at Airport road, they have some powders and primers once in a while, I keep hoping the primer inventory will get better at that store cause they are selling at good prices but limit most to 2 box's of 100 or 150 depending on brand.

Inventory is better at Green Acres on Normandy ave off I-295 about 30 minutes farther south, but prices are close to terrible I expect why their inventory is better. Can't think of too many others, I have been doing more online shopping except when I make the trip to Sportsman's Warehouse or have son go by and see what they have as he is only 20 minutes away and I am 45.

What you looking for specifically, I have some stuff I can part with or trade.

Your not the only one with that problem. If it weren't for the indoor range I use I would be in trouble. They are selling me loaded ammo way below what other stores are selling it for. Now they are getting primers in. I just bought a K of small pistol primers for a better price than I can get them anywhere else. They have them by the case.
I was going to not renew my membership there but I'd better rethink that.

Lived in Jacksonville 39 years and there is mostly nothing to buy local anymore.

Never been to Sportsman Warehouse, but that was the old Gander Mountain store. And when they were Gander never had much and it was over priced in good times. Probably has not changed.

Green Acres is Way over Priced on Reloading items and their guns.

There was a good shop in St.Marys with a range, I shot cowboy there bunch of times, but the town made the range close down.

So, you like so many of us, you are stuck with Mail order or a gun show. ;)

Guess you working on the Jimmy Carter Base, rains there alot. :)

All gone, just academy and sportsman warehouse for big box stores but bass pro coming to st johns county where I am. We do have a pretty good reloading store in St Augustine tho so I've rarely been lacking

Yes you do, but that's a hike for me add another 50 miles from St. Mary's.

Do you know if the range off of 16 closed, Ancient City?..

All the Sports Authorities are gone, closed couple years ago.
Well that figures. Only way we go to the east coast is to visit family. I don’t usually get any free time for shopping on those trips.
Thanks for the info. Shows how long it’s been since I bought supplies out that way.

Well that's dam tragic... I snapped up a few decent deals and some primers from the one in Memphis.... at least sportsman's is available

I can't remember the Sports Authorities in Jacksonville selling reloading supplies.

Jacksonville has a code for different area's.

Northside
Westside
Southside
Arlington
East Arlington
Eastside
Downtown
Beaches: people call that over the ditch because of inter coastal water way.

So, if you looking for something always ask what part of town they are in, but most everything is a good ways from you, also US17 is sometimes better to use than I95 to get to the Sportsman Warehouse, depending on time of day.

Became a copier, printer and computer repair guy after I retired, drove 310,000 miles in Northeast Florida and Southern Georgia, so I know most of the area well unfortunately. :)

I do like 17. Less crazies than 95

Yes, I have driven it from Paris, Virginia where it starts to Orlando just need Orlando to Punta Gorda, Florida to have finished it all. Crossed that blue bridge over the state line first time in 1967.

P.S. Learn the back roads because traffic is getting bad in Nassau County right across from you.

It is still going but I prefer saltwater sportsman on US1 200 yard rifle and separated pistol bays, no membership required just $20 / person

I was a member there, for about 4 years and then he started closing without notifying anyone, after we had drove 26 miles in that traffic.

So, I gave up haven't been to Saltwater yet. Use Gateway and Gun Gallery the most.
