Pretty ironic that Juan Williams, a black man who has written extensively on black history ( http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&search-type=ss&index=books&field-author=Juan Williams&page=1 ) is all-fired in favor of any and all disarmament measures that come down the pike. If he had his way, the blacks could not have fought back with any effective weapons. The reason: "I don't LIKE guns", as is a direct quote from him on a Fox News Sunday episode. He is a top contender for biggest idiot walking the face of the planet.

For instance, I could follow Steven Spielberg's example. Assuming you've seen Schindler's List, you might remember the closing scene where the freed Jews walk into the town happily unarmed. If so, read the book, which thankfully wasn't written by Spielberg. The fact is that Schindler made sure the Jews were heavily armed before he freed them. They walked into town with their guns drawn. Also, the movie portrays Schindler regretting that he had spent lavishly on himself instead of spending on the Jews. Not so. Schindler had no regrets about spending money on himself. Want to know what he regretted? Not arming the Jews sooner.

Maybe I could be a hypocrite about gun control. For instance, Steven Spielberg has one of the finest collections of so-called assault weapons in America. When Charlton Heston saw it he was amazed. This is a matter of record. Spielberg, Hollywood's Mr. Gun Control, has never denied having a great gun collection.

Look at where he's from. If I'm not mistaken, it's the place where Black people overwhelmingly reelect the man who was State's Attorney when they were being systematically tortured by the police. Black people have been taught to lick the hand that wields the whip.

As you may recall, the Schindler's List hysteria occurred about the same time as the anti2ndA / AWB hysteria. I had read Kennealy's book before I saw the movie, and I was incensed by Spielburg's editing-out of the arming of Schindler's Jews.

I even created a 'poster' quoting the book's actual statements about this arming. For the record:

You would only be a racist (or an idiot) if you made unsupported inferences from the data you present. For example, one might use that statistic to claim that since a higher percentage of black people are in correctional facilities, black people in general must commit more crimes (per capita). However, all that particular statistic really shows is that a higher percentage of black people get placed into correctional facilities. The data makes no statement as to the reason for the treatment. Perhaps a higher percentage of black people in correctional facilities were not given a impartial trial, and if they had been treated fairly (or, at least treated the same as whites) the gap between blacks and whites would be negligible.

I'm glad you didn't make any of these mistakes.

Not to pick on the great State of Alabama, but up until recently it had a "strict prohibition" against the carrying of handguns. No provision was made for providing a permit because the law was universally understood to never be used against any "white man."

Depending the context, they would rightly call you a racist. Context and intent are everything: How does that particular fact apply to the issue of gun laws being inherently racists and or elitist and how that has historically applied to black people?
