Thanks for posting, 3rdChance. Nice job!

I got out to the range today, and threw a few of these in my range bag. I took another whack at the centerfire target with my "Carmonized" 4" S&W 686 DAO revolver shooting some target WCs, and managed to score a 10-4x.

I've also been casually contemplating an M&P 9mm, so I rented one and tried it on these targets as well. I had to use their range fodder (Blazer 124gr FMJ), so all in all, I found it much more challenging. In the end, the best I could muster was an 8-0X. One round seemed to come within mere microns of the ram, but I'm calling it a miss for an 8-0X.

These targets were all shot on July 11:

Ruger Mk. II Target (MK512)
Federal #750 .22LR ammo (36gr, high velocity)
7 yards
10-2x (or -0x, depends on whether or not you think the smears touch the white circles...or I can whip out my bullseye overlays...)

(took me 4 targets to get this one, click for larger)

S&W 617-6 6"
Federal #750 .22LR ammo
7 yards
10-2x

(took 2 targets for this one, shot after the Mk. II; click for larger)

CZ75B
Blazer Brass 9mm ammo (115gr, FMJ)
10 yards
9-1x (there is one shot on the little bird that could touch the white, and there is one shot on the big bird that could touch the black, but meh)

Went out the range to test some loads for the Razorback. After shooting a few magazines full at 15 yards, I remembered that I had a few of the July Handgun Match targets with me, so I thought, why not? Anyway, here are the results:

Dan Wesson Razorback 10mm, Dardas 180 grain cast FPBB with 10 grains Blue Dot behind it. 10 yards outdoors.

Bet I'm the only one who shot it with a 10mm...

July26th...

Was very windy-gusty today while at the Range...increasing as I was proceeding from 'tap-tap' to the next 'tap-tap' starting upper left and going down...so things got worse as I went!

...so, took one extra shot at the Pig to make up for the 'low' one when the wind blew from behind and bowed me over a little...Lol...

Pistol is an old 'HAFDASA', circa 1946,.45 Auto, shooting full-power Hardball...

I count his as at least 10-4x, if not 5x (the one on the pig is very close, but in Bullseye if it touches--even by a hair--it counts).

Yahhhh...(TM's Target ) if those had been Semi-Wads, it'd be less vague...but, yeahh, looks like 4 if not 5 X to me too, far as the diameter of the Round touching the
'White' Dots...but the Paper has not 'cut' to full Round Diameter...

No ambiguity on my Target!

My eyes anymore...I could not even see my hits at 10 yards, till all done, I walked up close...

Lol...

Oops. My bad. Thanks for the heads-up. Yep, sure is at least a 10-4x. Looks like the outer diameter of the hole just touches the pig's X, so I'd call it a -5x. How 'bout it, Tequila? Still have the target?

Any chance of an August match?

Sure - I'll whip something up and will try to get it posted tonight.

Great shooting, folks. See you again in August!
