I liked my new Lee 9mm undersized so as subject states, I just bought one for 45.

Why? After undersizing, seating has such a consistent, firm feel I now have added confidence in proper tension to avoid push back or set back or backsliding or whatever it’s called.

Before using the undersized, I’d get some bullets seated with such minimal resistance I’d find myself either attempting to taper crimp my way to security or discarding the case.

I wanted that same firm consistent feel with 45ACP that the 9mm undersized die gave me.

Just FYI.

Some brands of brass need a little extra sizing. Mine were Remington. Thin case walls. I scrapped them.

I did a test with 5 different brands of 45 acp brass. Each one had different spring back after sizing and expanding. Neck tension went from .002" to .005" between brands. 200 gr cast lswc. Took 45 lbs to over 100+ lbs to move bullets, after seating, using different brands of brass.

Accuracy requires brass of the same brand/lot & number of reloads.
