hadn't bought anything in awhile...as i was trying to control my spending...but when i recently noticed that the 332 was no longer found on s&w's site...i decided to order one from my local gun shop before they became too scarce.

shot 60 rounds through it yesterday. recoil was very pleasant. i have a set of hogue bantams on them. accuracy was very good at 7 yards. noticeably lighter than my 442.

my only issue was that during the first 40 rounds or so, the gun had a "sticky trigger" for 2 rounds. it seemed to have occurred randomly. the trigger would not reset immediately. i honestly don't remember how i got the trigger to reset. definitely didn't take long or require much effort--otherwise i would have remembered. although the last 20+ rounds were fine, it was still annoying. my 442 had a somewhat problematic trigger at first as well...though dry firing seemed to smooth it out and make it consistent and reliable. the sticky trigger on the 332 didn't appear until firing live rounds. it worked flawlessly during dry firing. i'm hoping it just needs some more dry firing to get it working smoothly...especially since i'm not very mechanically skillful...and wouldn't trust myself at this point to open it up.

i shot the federal 85 gr. rounds. planning to order some ammo from georgia arms...as they seem to be recommended here.

also ordered some a-zoom snap caps in .32 H&R mag...i figure i might as well use them if i'm going to dry fire a lot. also ordered some hks speedloaders.

i'm thinking of painting the front sight to make it stand out a bit more. any recommendations as to what kind of paint to use?

thanks. overall i am very happy with the gun.

congrats!

I just picked up a 332 also. saw one as a gun show. traded my Pheonix Arms .22 and $375 for it. :)

it is used, but in good condition. a guy bought it for his wife, but she has arthritus or some other condition, that she could not pull the trigger. so it did not get shot much.

I haven't even shot it yet. but i have fondled it. LOLOL

Paint: fingernail polish. Seriously. You'll be embarassed buying it :).

Or modeler's paint; look in hobby shops where they keep the geeky lead figurines used for RPGs (and no, I don't mean "Rocket Propelled Grenades"). You can also find superfine brushes there.

For a color, I'm partial to bright orange front, white rear. If it's a stainless gun and you want to go all-out, paint the rear sight area black and once dry, do a either a thin white outline OR two "blobs" of white at the lower right and left corners of the blackened rear. This gives you a "fast triangle" alignment between the two bottom rear points and the front sight, but in daytime will let you do a precise sight window of the classic Patridge "square front in a square rear hole" that really hasn't been improved upon for peak accuracy in well-lit conditions.
