If they continue to sell though well we may order more, but delivery would probably be in the 3rd quarter of 2015 due to military M9 orders in process and the pending move of BUSA to TN.

From Wilson in post 12. Don't give up.

If they came out with an all stainless gun in 10mm, I'd wig out. Don't know if the existing mag well or frame could accommodate it though.

Will they be making Model 96 versions of all those also?

The pictures that were going around from the AUSA meeting in October showed 92 and 96 Vertecs on display.

As for the other announced models, only 9mm at this point. (Of course, the 84 and 85 will be .380 ACP if/when they come back)

Okay, this happened really fast. 92 Brigadiers are currently in stock at Bud's for around $700.

If I had not just picked up a 92S yesterday, I would place one on layaway right this minute. Instead, I'll have to hope Beretta keeps producing them for a while and direct fellow Beretta lovers to them.

I'm pretty encouraged by something else Bill Wilson said over on Beretta Forum:

This is just the beginning and we will see quite a few exciting new products from BUSA in the future.

Since he has had quite a bit of face to face contact with Beretta reps over the last year, I tend to believe him. 2015 should be a great year for Beretta and Beretta fans.

Well, I waited for as long as I could take it. I've been thinking about getting a nice 9mm shooter for some time, since I don't own one. I also plan to buy a CX4 9mm at some point, and already have three 30 round 92 series magazines.

So with a great deal of guilt, I placed my order for a Wilson/Beretta Brig Tac. I'm excited, but I confess, I am really hoping that it shows up after the holidays.

$$$$$$$$ :uhoh:

This will be my first Beretta firearm.

Edit: I emailed Wilson and asked a few questions. They told me that my credit card would not be charged until the gun shipped. That was incorrect. Got charged right away.

As someone who has greatly missed the Vertec, I'd be happy to see it back on the market. The only Beretta I sometimes miss, what with my fat kid palms and stubby sausage fingers.

I believe it could do better this time around in a growing market where there are more of us whose hands might be a good fit, and in a time where frame rails tend to be more desirable among a certain segment.

Man, as much of a Beretta fanboy as I am, I think starting with a Wilson specced G-type might leave you underwhelmed by future Berettas!

I think you are right, but that's ok. I will likely stick to higher end or collectors grade Berettas. The reality is that I have all the guns I need, so my taste in new guns has swung toward the more refined shooters.

Edit: Checked my credit card balance again this morning, and the charge is no longer on there. Apparently it was just the authorization, so Wilson is in fact doing what they say.

I ordered a 92G Brig Tac the day they became available (Tuesday the 4th) at about 12:30 Pacific. By that time, the first 198 pistols they had ready to ship in their warehouse had already been sold!

So 9 days later, my pistol randomly showed up at my FFL, without getting any kind of shipping notification from Wilson. It was apparently in a small second batch of about 40 pistols that arrived at Wilson from Beretta on the 10th.

I took my pistol home from the FFL without really inspecting it very close. So when I got home and wiped some of the excess oil off, I was disappointed to see that my barrel was very scratched. From muzzle to locking block, on all sides, in no particular pattern. I posted pics over on Beretta Forum, and Bill Wilson said that anyone with a severely scratched barrel like mine could ship the barrel only to Wilson, and they'd put a black Armor-Tuff coat on it for free and ship it back. That's great customer service, considering it's Beretta's fault.

I shipped my barrel to Wilson this Monday, but weather has delayed it. Wilson won't get it until next week, and because of Thanksgiving, I'm not expecting to get it back for at least another 10 days.

But when I do get it back, and have a chance to finally shoot the 92G Brig Tac, I plan on posting a thorough review here on THR.

Just a note - along with the barrel scratches, my barrel feed ramp was not symmetrically polished with an entire corner still covered in black coating, and it had some rough marks on it. Also, my trigger bar was not resetting correctly with the slide off, so I switched in an older Elite II hammer, and it fixed the problem. There are also some rough and very sharp surfaces inside of the slide, but nothing that shows from the outside. A small chunk of finish on the underside of the slide where the takedown lever flips up is missing. Not to mention I've taken apart and greased all contact surfaces of the trigger, hammer, hammer strut, etc., and the double-action pull is still gritty.

Of course, none of this is Wilson's fault, but I have to say I'm just a little disappointed with the lack of attention to finish details at the Beretta factory. The only other Beretta I have in my possession to compare to is a 2007 Italian-made 92FS, which has glass-smooth surfaces all over it, compared to this new 92G Brig Tac. IMO, a $500 plain old 92FS should not have better finish and surfaces than a $1,200 Beretta with Wilson Combat's name and logo on it.

I want to love this new gun, but I'm being held back by these little flaws. I'm just hoping that when I finally get to shoot it, my disappointment will melt away.

I find that disturbing to say the least. It sounds like Beretta rushed things along too much in the ruckus of their move. I did catch your posts over on the Beretta Forum too. I'm really hoping that since Wilson is monitoring that thread and offering to make it right, that they will give the guns a closer look before sending them out the door.

Are they paying for the shipping of your barrel?

I just saw one of the new 84 Cheetahs the other day and it was nice... but I'm more than happy with my ~10 year old 84 Cheetah. About half the price, came with four magazines and a holster instead of that new gun smell.

That being said, I've been told only the 84 is making a return, not the 85. If the 85 does indeed come out after all, I think I'll be buying one new :)

I didn't ask, and I didn't want to push the issue, since Wilson Combat is stepping up and fixing Beretta's problem. I figure getting a free Armor-Tuff coating on my barrel is worth my UPS shipping cost.

For all I know, the other 999 Wilson/Beretta 92G Brig Tacs are flawless works of craftsmanship. Perhaps I got the 1 single lemon gun. And don't get me wrong, I am a huge Beretta fan and have full confidence this gun will be 100% reliable and the trigger will smooth out after a few hundred rounds. It's because I love Beretta so much that I'm a little disappointed with the little finish details on this $1,200 gun.
