Just suffered an impulse buy. After doing some xmas shopping for the family I sat down and was cruising some sites on the net to relax, I saw an ad for a LNIB Ciener conversion kit w/2 10 rd mags. according to the owner he only used it twice before he bought a dedicated 22lr upper. I also had been thinking of getting a dedcated upper, but money is tight so I settled on this.
Anyone have one or know much about them (good or bad)? It just seemed like a good compromise for some cheap AR shooting.

you'll find plenty of threads about them if you search. they're good kits. don't expect any service, even if ciener stays out of prison.

"LNIB" == only used twice, huh? sad

I never had any problems with the one I had that weren't attributable to the ammo. The conversion kits tend to like high velocity ammo. My kit liked mini-mags.

One of my shooting buddies has one uses for match practice and same as rail drivers it only works best with HV ammo bad had a real problem as mimi-mags are everwhere.

My Platinum Cup conversion runs 100% on MiniMags. Not so well on bulk pack stuff.

Midway is blowing out the remainder of its Ciener kits.

Mine came with the 15 round magazine and I bought one extra magazine. Wish I'd bought more while I could get them.

I have two for handguns. You have to work the actions a bunch to get them broke in, but no problems after you get them smooth.

If the mags are the Ciener provided magazines (POS) throw them in the trash and buy the Black Dog replacements. Otherwise fire away, I've never had problems with my kit, not once.
