Just bought a Glock 41

The Glock 41 is the best pistol they have put out in a loooong time. At the moment it is my favorite. This target was shot at 15 yards, offhand with handloads. Very accurate pistol, great feel and I shoot it every bit as accurately as my 1911's. You will enjoy yours.

It's not just the Bow & Arrow, it's mostly the Indian, Kemosabe!

Glock Perfection! and yes, there really is such a thing in my opinion. It is a consistent tolerances in the milling process of the barrel to slide fit for breech lock. Gaston seems to have done it the best. Just take a look at any older Glock and you can see that the finish on the barrel hood is still in tact. This is just precision German machine work that does not seem to be duplicated by CNC laser cutting.

So here it is as the box was opened.

Comes with three magazines, four backstrap options, packet of bathroom reading material, a mag loader, rod & brush and a takedown tool/ backstrap holder and two fired cases in case I want to try reloading shells before I shoot it, very thoughtful!.

The gun is a "SLIM FRAME" model, not short frame as a poster suggested, says so right in the manual.
The additional backstraps are medium-no beavertail, Medium with beavertail, Large-no beaver & Large-complete with beaver.

I like the slim frame feel just fine but may try all options for yucks and giggles.

Dealer was supposed to include another mag free of charge but he & I didn't realize the gun comes with three mags from factory and we thought counterman just put other mag in box.
He will make that right next time I am in there.
The gun is made in Austria, not USA.
The slide stop is universal Glock, I will add an "extended" OEM that I have on hand as I prefer them.
The mag release and trigger module are new style Gen four but standard 5 pound connector & spring.
I will add an NY-1 to it too.
Prolly gonna add Trijicons in the near future as well. See how it shoots with the plastic fantastic fixed sights first.
Nice gun, I know it's gonna make me all warm & fuzzy when I shoot it tomorrow :)

Very nice....

That's very nice.
Makes me want a new Glock 41 pistol too. :(

Id still suggest the Tangodown add-ons(slide-stop & gen 04 style magazine release) & the Glockworx.com take-down lever.
Many Glock shooters I speak to say that's a small part that annoys them.
As for the sights, you can't go wrong with Trijicon HDs.

Have fun!

Many people complain about the takedown levers but I've never had a problem with them.
I'm used to taking the guns down with NY-1 trigger springs in place so,,,,

The mag release is just fine, actually bigger than I really like so I won't be doing anything wit it.

Well after shooting this thing quite a bit I am nothing but impressed.
It won't replace my H&K USP Elite as my most accurate .45 acp pistol but it certainly equals or bests my 1911s and offers twice the magazine capacity to boot!

I did install an NY-1 trigger spring but left the 4.5lb connector in place and added a Glock extended slide lock.
I have a set of Trijicons sitting here too but the gun is shooting dead nuts with the plastic fantastic sights and CCI Lawman 230 grain TMJs so,,,,,

And as an added bonus, ALL my G34 holsters fit and function just fine with the G41. :) (They're all made by Blade-Tech BTW)

I have a Blade-Tech Double Mag pouch on order, have been using a double magazine Blackhawk but not happy with it.

I am hoping Glock brings out a 10mm version of the G41 with a 6" Barrel. Or maybe not because they will get even more of my money if they do

Save your Xmas money, Bud; I hear the G43 longslide 10mm is coming next Spring; I hope you reload your 10mm, Factory 10mm will definitely set fire to your wallet!

Glock stuff....

I considered a NY1 trigger on my LE trade in Glock 21 gen 04 but I might leave it factory stock for now. If I get it, I may used the Robar NP3 coated Double Diamond connector from www.glockstore.com . It's impressive ;).
I do plan to add Metalife to the Glock 21's upper. It will take about 4 weeks & cost about $100.00 with S/H. I was looking at the Cerakote colors and a great shop is near me but I might wait and do a NIB Glock pistol for it. I like the Cerakote SOCOM Blue & Sniper Grey colors.
The Blowndeadline.net Bloodline battle-worn Cerakote is cool  but the company is a real mess. :(
The guy who runs it had a big fire & he said in a few website posts the local city is on him for EPA/OSHA issues related to his business.

Lots of condescending attitude in post #6.
People are just having friendly discussion.

What a neat thread!

Still haven't changed anything on the 41. Put another 50 rounds of Tulammo through it 2 weeks ago. Maybe it was me. Maybe it was the ammo but it did beat me up a bit. Tula is not known for its vigor but this time... Oh boy. That recoil hung around for a while. 1 FTE (Tula again) in 500 rounds. This thing is a horse.

The TLR-1 has been a champ. Maybe 400 rounds on the rail and it's as steady as an oak.

Haven't decided if I'm going to keep it yet. If I do, there could be a few changes here and there. Nothing of note however.

Well, that makes TWO pistols added to my to buy list for 2015!

Already decided to try a G42 and find out if I can end my distaste of the .380 acp.
I can only hope they make the 10mm longslide in a 6" version but the 5.2" will do I guess!

I began shooting and reloading for 10mm as soon as it became commonly available.
Even managed to blow up a pistol while experimenting! :)
