Just bought a Smith 649.

Just bought a S&W 649 .38spl with the two inch barrel for $280. The gun looks unfired in original blue plastic box with papers.

I ended up calling S&W with the seial number and they said it was manufactured in1998.

Carried a model 49 for years. Like the ability to single action it, and still have the hammer shrouded. Great gun, good buy. A little heavy, but you get use to that.
