The 500 S&W is a fine easy shooting gun ( I'm 175#) in the longer barrel. It's as accurate as any S&W I've ever shot (first shot was .5 inches from dead center!). I'll never part with this joy of a LARGE revolver! Come on Marlin with the lever please.

A K frame is quicker to reload than a J frame using any quick loader method. Speed strips are only a little slower in a J frame than the Safari quick loader. In the K frame, a Safari is as fast as a magazine change in an auto, and the speed strip only a bit faster than the J frame speed strip.

The grip seems to interfere more with loading on J frames, while there is a ton of roominess on the K's with an extra round bonus.

A stainless J frame will be more accurate in my hands the the airweight because of the extra weight. This J frame is hard to shoot with the .357 full house loads, but it is acceptable. 38 specials in this gun is very nice.

Nicer yet (for target shooting) is the model 10 with a 4 inch. My double action groups rival the single action groups of the J frames with this gun. Single action, I only know the model 19 would come equal.

Miwall reloads of SWC are smokey, dirty, and mild.

The P220 is right in there with the model 10. When I fire it single action mode, it compares with the double action group of the model 10 or tighter. Love my new Sig, and am very glad I gave the bottom feeders a second chance. Switched the grips as soon as I bought it.

What a fun day the range has been. God bless all.

AMEN to that.
I think goodyears would give off less smoke.
It's quit possibly the combination of chicken fat and bacon grease they use for bullet lube.
Buter flavor Crisco works so much better. :neener:

But they are also accurate, reliable and very cheap.
I used to buy them in bulk packed in .30 cal ammo cans.
