I just got my C&R today after a 6 week wait. As I understand it, make a bunch of coppies w/out signing the original, then mail out signed copies to dealers abroad. Two questions: 1) Never sign the original? 2) As far as mail ordering C&R handguns goes, does Nevada make a distinction between C&R handguns and modern ones or what?( as far as registration etc.)

Thanks in advance.

1) Never sign the original?
Right, because each copy must be signed in ink.

2) As far as mail ordering C&R handguns goes, does Nevada make a distinction between C&R handguns and modern ones or what?( as far as registration etc.)
Uh, does Nevada even have handgun registration outside of Clark county? I didn't think there was a state law regardring it.

Vegaslaith, unless just recently changed this is the Clark County Code on Pistol Registration:

12.04.110 Registration of pistols within seventy-two hours.

Any resident of the county receiving title to a pistol, whether by purchase, gift, or any other transfer, and whether from a dealer or from any other person, shall, within seventy-two hours of such receipt, personally appear at the county sheriff’s office, together with the pistol, for the purpose of registering the same with the sheriff. It shall be the duty of the sheriff to register the pistol, and he may, and is hereby authorized to cooperate in any manner he sees fit with other law enforcement agencies, and with licensed dealers, relative to registration of pistols, so that efficient registration shall be secured at minimum cost and duplication. (Ord. 3571 § 3, 2007: Ord. 242 § 11, 1965)

Thanks George. That's pretty much what I thought. just wasn't sure if NV made a distinction between C&R and current guns. guess not.

Well, your questions have already been answered, so all that is left to me is to convey my condolences for the mark that the C&R will begin to leave on your bank account. On the other hand, the thrill of getting those cool UPS deliveries almost makes up for it! :D
