A while back I tried to make the trigger better on the gun by putting a wolf striker spring. Didn't work out so well,I wound up with a paper weight. The spring twisted and failed, couldn't take the slide off. So took it to a gunsmith that sent it off to good old S&W.

Just for the record, I HATED this gun with a passion. My wife bought it for me without me even knowing about it. The trigger was gritty, heavy, and stacked TERRIBLY.

After getting it back it is still heavy, but it's SMOOTH. I took it out in the backyard and I actually hit what I was aiming for. Although I am in hot water now because the tree I shot apparently is "pretty".

hahah... stupid tree..

I have 4 Sigma's right now... 1 stock, 2 others i did the "Free trigger job" spring removal and the other one was sent back to S&W where they did trigger work on it.

The free trigger job and approx 1000rds makes for 1 nice trigger. The stock one is still heavy and kinda gummy even after 2000rds, the Smith and wesson trigger job is very nice and it has a few more than 2k rds through it... its almost equal to my M&P's

Glad you are enjoying the gun more now

Your Wife: "You sir, are a cowadly son of a bitch. You just shot an unarmed tree!"

You: "Well, it should have armed itself, if it was gonna decorate my yard like that."

:D

That's good stuff there Fremmer.
I hated my .40 Sigma at first. I did the above mentioned free trigger job and have put a few boxes through it, and it's some better. Guess I better start shooting more. I'd like to have a 9mm and I just may get another Sigma.

Should have said a wood-pecker did it... I love my Sigma now. I did the free trigger job and shortening one of the actual trigger springs. IMHO, the perfect amount of pull for a DAO fun gun. I've fired about 1,300 rounds through it and it is a pleasure to shoot. I HIGHLY recommend taking her apart and doing the free trigger job. Search it on youtube. I love free "upgrades":D
