I am a new S&W Sigma SW40VE owner. I have done a fair amount of reading about reducing the trigger spring action. I have pulled apart the sear mechinism and am polishing that, as well as treating metal to metal places with Brownell Action Magic ll, all in an effort to reduce the trigger pressure and smooth up the activation/trigger pull. I also purchased a Wolf 3.5lb striker pin spring.

My question is how do I replace the striker pin spring? How does the old one come out?

I appreciate any help - the more detailed the better. Or a reference to a site with photos. I have researched but cannot fine any "how to" references.

Thanks

I cannot join that forum since I have a yahoo email address. SAD!! and just scanning line by line to find a thread is a forever project. Do you have any url references??

i too have a sigma in .40 with the black slide, but ive grown up with revolvers and the trigger is no problem at all if you use your first joint instead of the pad, treat it like a revolver. if S&W wanted a lighter trigger pull they would have put a external safety on it.

Your not missing anything:) Actually S&W forum does have some good info if you can wade thru some of the other stuff. The hotmail/yahoo thing is a pain though. Surprisingly the public library computer I sometimes use won't allow me to look up S&W forum!

I just left my sw9ve trigger alone and have learned to live with it. The gun is very reliable as is so I deal with it.
